Air Fryer Fried Oreos ~ warm Oreo cookies wrapped in dough, air fried until golden then dusted with powdered sugar. Whip up this simple fair favorite at home without a drop of oil!
For me, the fair is all about sweet treats like elephant ears – but then again I’m always in search of the food.
Now I don’t wait for the fair to come to town. I make another favorite – Fried Oreos – in an air fryer recipe, that definitely satisfies my sweet tooth.
They’re irresistibly good, super simple to make in the air fryer and you need just 4 ingredients without a drop of oil.
Who needs an easy dessert – an indulgent treat – that’s sure to be a big hit with the whole family?
what aRE fried oreoS?
Fried Oreos are warm chocolate Oreo cookies, sweet breading and no grease – just pure delicious flavor.
The cookie becomes soft and warm, the dough puffs up and browns and is dusted with as much powdered sugar as you like. They even better than the deep fried version.
what’s in air fryer fried oreos?
This simple recipe uses crescent rolls (no pancake batter!) that mimics the taste of the batter used at fairs. If you can’t find a roll of crescent roll dough, use biscuit dough instead. You just want to make sure the oreo is covered by dough.
- Oreo cookies
- Packaged crescent rolls
- Milk
- Powdered sugar
how to make air fried oreos:
Tear the dough at the perforation to give you 8 pieces. Lay the dough on a flat surface then place an Oreo on top. Carefully wrap the dough around the cookie covering the whole cookie then tuck the dough underneath, tearing off and discarding any excess dough.
Lightly brush the top and sides of the covered Oreo with milk. This will help give it the nice golden color.
Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes at 375° then add the Oreos to the air fryer basket in a single layer with alittle space between them. Cook 4 minutes or until they’re golden brown. The cookies will cook on both sides without turning them.
Carefully remove the fried Oreos from the air fryer, transfer to a cutting board then dust with powdered sugar using a sifter and eat right away with a glass of milk or drink of choice.
Do fried oreos reheat well?
Yes. Store any leftovers in an airtight container. To reheat, place them in the air fryer using the ‘reheat’ setting for about 1 minute (they’re way better warm!) then eat right away.

I had to cook mine way more then 4 minutes. I have a nuwave machine. 375 degrees for 12 minutes. I also put parchment paper under them in my basket so they wouldn’t stick. Thanks for the receipy.
Hi Tommisue – the air fryers are a little bit different so cook times can be a bit off. Good idea with the parchment paper – you definitely don’t want them sticking. You can also lightly spray the fryer basket too. You’re very welcome – thanks for trying it and leaving your feedback. Enjoy the day ~ Bernie
leftovers? ! Does anyone really ever have any of these fried Oreos left over? DELICIOUS! I haven’t been successfully with them not sticking yet.. might try the parchment paper idea. Thanks for recipe!
Hi Michelle – hahaha yep! I totally get that. I ate them one after the next like I was training for the Olympics! Okay – so the sticking issue. Each air fryer is a bit different. I would suggest very lightly brushing the bottom of the air fryer basket with a little oil. Parchment paper is also a good option. I hope this helps – so glad you enjoyed the recipe! ~ Bernie
Will it melt the chocolate cookie part inside? That’s the best part
Hi Yasmine – great question – and I totally agree – the cookie IS the best part! 🙂 No – the cookie doesn’t melt – it will slightly soften and warm up but will NOT melt. The dusting of powdered sugar at the end is over the top good. Would love to know what to think if you make them. Thanks for stopping by – enjoy the day ~ Bernie
Holy moly yum! I inhaled 6 of these within minutes only saving 2 for my husband and daughter. I used my pampered chef deluxe air fryer and used greased aluminum foil to keep them from sticking. Worked great! I had to cook them about 4 minutes each side, but they turned out divine!
Hi Anna – hey, no judgment here! lol I’ve eaten more than my fair share of them too. They’re soooo good. Greased aluminum foil?? I haven’t heard of that but will definitely be looking into it – thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and so happy you enjoyed the recipe ~ Bernie
TY for all your recipes. How do you AF hot dogs?
Hi Sylvia – Thank YOU! — and thanks for a great question. I really like hot dogs in the air fryer — toasted buns too. Here’s how to do it: Set the air fryer to 400 degrees. If you like toasted buns, add them to the air fryer first for about 2 minutes then remove. Next add the hot dogs to the air fryer for 4-5 minutes or until they’re the color you like (I like a darker color so sometimes I’ll go 6 minutes). Transfer the hot dogs to the buns (you can even brush a little butter on the buns and put them back in for 1 minute – totally optional). Have a great day! – Bernie
